Before Processing
Anytime if you have a great idea for making life better and more amazing! Whoever you are a research developer or an industrial designer, a SOHO team or a student, try a prototype fabrication, making it real!
You needn’t a wholly complete structure of the masterpiece, but a clear idea about the product appearance, function, and direction. Just tell JIERCHEN Prototype and start to design!
Of course, it is much better if you have 3D(or 2D) images and finishing project(such as colors, textures, etc.) .It helps us to match your imagination!
You can apply any 2D image design software such as AutoCAD, ProE, DraftSight, Rhino, etc.JIERCHEN Prototype usually uses AutoCAD to deal with 2D images. You can apply the software mentioned above or any else that filename extension goes to .dwf/.dwg/.dwt, etc.
SolidWorks is the most commonly used software for making 3D image design. You can apply any software that filename extension goes to .x_t/.stp/.step/.mcx/.igs/.iges, etc.
When Processing
Then, You can choose JIERCHEN Prototype for assistance!
JIERCHEN Prototype helps our clients to make a prototype with the quality up to par in the most economical way.
JIERCHEN Prototype’s professional senior engineer will discuss with our clients. We understand your demand and analyze different processing solutions. You can select one of them to be the best processing way according to your needs.
JIERCHEN Prototype suggests that choose your processing way by the structure of your products.
3D printing owns the pros of faster processing time (generally 2~3 days) and comparatively cheaper price. It can produce a more complex structure that CNC machines can not. On the other hand, it brings the cons of worse tolerance and fragile texture.
CNC processing way is able to make more precise tolerance that suitable for a working sample prototype. By using CNC processing way, your product will be stronger and more hard than by 3D printing.
Basically but not wholly the technique of 3D printing is more economical than CNC processing.
The mold is divided into two categories: soft tooling and hard tooling.
You can click here to understand more about the definition of soft-tooling and hard-tooling.
The difference between both is that soft tooling is for the usage of quantity below to 20. If your product is gotten into the pilot run and you need low volume production, the soft tooling is preferred if the quantity is not enough because of the expensive unit price of hard tooling.
Notice that there is a weakness that soft tooling experiences a shrinkage rate of around 5%. It probably but not definitely influences your trial run.
